In February, 2004, Rod Johnson lost his battle with cancer. He lives on in our thoughts and warm memories along with Woody Hayes and other honored Buckeyes.
Rod was a past President of our Alumni Club, board member, the Club's attorney, and to so many, a very valued friend. Rod was instrumental in helping the Club get our official logo approved by the University. He was a gentleman every sense of the word, and was loved by all. We miss his beautiful singing voice, leading us in Buckeye Battle Cry or Carmen Ohio.
To honor his long dedication to the Ohio State University Alumni Club of Phoenix, his nephew has set up a scholarship fund to help local Phoenix students attend Ohio State University.
